Rainbow Snippets 10/19/2025

My snippet this week is from Shifting Chaos, book 4 of The Sleepless City. Series cowritten with Anne Barwell.

“Of course. Now, Forge, it’s time for you to go blend in with the people outside and spin a tale of how you failed to find this one. Another fugitive on the loose who will never be found,” Marion said. She held out a bucket and rags. “Use this to clean up and leave it. We’ll dispose of it.” Her companions were already hard at work on their task of covering up the fact Forge had murdered another vampire. “That lovely human of Simon’s is waiting for you.”

He did as she said, collected his helmet and rifle and went outside, blending in with the rest of the people. Ben was leaning against the corner of the building, talking on his phone.
