Rainbow Snippets 2/9/2025

My snippet this week is from Quarry, book 2 of The Vampire Guard.

“It looks like whoever this vampire is, they don’t keep accomplices long.” Blair snorted. “So much for honor among thieves.” He glanced at Declan and felt a stab of regret. Declan was a very honorable man. “Excluding you, of course. You’re not like that.”

Declan smiled and patted Blair’s hand. “No offense taken. We’ve got to get into that show and see people, look for our suspect. Is there a reception or some other event, like the ones in the videos, for the showing here?” he asked.

Blair nodded. “It’s part of every exhibition. There is an event, the tickets are pretty pricey, and the lists of those attending range from critics to collectors to society types who want to mingle.”
