 My snippet this week is from Electric Candle, book 2 of The Sleepless City (series cowritten with Anne Barwell). The man crossed his arms over his chest, and his eyes glowed angry gold. “Fine,” Forge said. “We can do it this way. Someone called in a dead body, and they said it was on this property. The simple fact is a judge isn’t going to care if you’re a werewolf and I’m a vampire. A judge is going to care that there is a possible murder, and you”—he poked the man’s shoulder—“are interfering with the investigation. A judge is going to slam your furry ass in a jail cell, and this entire place will be overrun with cops with search warrants going through all your personal stuff in about two hours.” Forge smiled and stuck his hands in his pockets. He shrugged. “Completely up to you.” The man turned on his heels and stalked away, calling over his shoulder, “This way.” Find many more snippets on the Rainbow Snippets Facebook group.
