 Do you see writing as a career? Definitely, though it's a brand new and underdeveloped career for me. Even though I’ve been writing for twenty years, I’m still an infant in the grand world of publication, with so much to learn. I’ve tried to stay open and teachable, and learn as much as I can from fellow, more experienced authors, while cultivating my own voice. At the same time, I’m also a librarian and have been for the last seven years. I see the library as a career as well. I don’t think I would ever give up one over the other because I love both of them and think both paths are valid. I once told someone that I was lucky that I got to do my two dream jobs professionally, and she scoffed at me and said, “Lucky? You worked incredibly hard, don’t undersell that.” (I still think luck played its hand there, though!) He’d come forward, snaking his arms around Toren’s sheet-covered waist and pulling him hard against his body. “It’s just a kiss,” Rook breathed before he put his lips against Toren’s.
