Hello Snippet Lovers! This week my snippet is from Run for the Roses.

Val nodded and exchanged places with Wyatt. He watched as Wyatt wrote up the information they knew and sent an e-mail. Val snickered. “You’re really part of a super-secret organization that uses the cover of cultural theft to defend Earth against alien invasion, aren’t you?”

Wyatt stopped typing and looked at Val. “No. That’s the office next door to ours.”

“Right,” Val said and play-punched Wyatt’s shoulder. “Your secret is safe with me.”

“Good,” Wyatt said. “I was worried I’d have to kill you. That would be a shame, ’cause you’ve got a cute ass.”

“I always knew my ass would save my ass someday.”
