This week's snipped is from Run for the Roses, book 1 of Circles. “Sunny gets retired and put out for stud.” Wyatt burst out laughing. “Now there’s a life. Eat and have sex.” Val nodded and chuckled. Wyatt had an infectious laugh and made Val feel good. “I know it’s what I’d strive for if I were a horse.” He smiled when Wyatt laughed even harder. “You’re funny,” Wyatt said, wiping moisture off his eyelashes. “I’m glad you think so. Most people just say I have no brain-to-mouth filter,” Val said, his smile widening. Wyatt laid one hand on Val’s forearm. “I think it’s refreshing. I spend too much of my time around people who want to hide things or feel they have to watch what they say around me. You know all sorts of things about me, but I hardly know anything about you.” “I’m not that interesting.” Val shrugged one shoulder, being careful not to jostle Wyatt’s hand away. “Let me be the judge of that.” Wyatt gave Val’s arm a squeeze before stretching out to pet one of the dogs. They apparently tired of their sniffing and wandering and had sprawled on the ground in a circle around Val and Wyatt. “How does Vladimir get shortened to Val?” Find more snippets in the Rainbow Snippets Facebook group.
