Rainbow Snippets 3/24/24

My snippet is from Quarry, book 2 of The Vampire Guard.

​Jonas thrashed, kicking his legs.

“Mon moitié, it’ll—” Declan began, then stopped when Jonas gripped his hand harder than before, arched his back, and tried to roll to his side.
Declan had been taught by the native man who had turned him that no one should ever be changed without consent or against their will, yet he had done exactly that. What he’d done was wrong. So was the fact that he’d chosen this one man over the dozens dying at the hand of the other vampire. A vampire Declan could’ve stopped. Now he’d have to live with the consequences, and so would Jonas.

However, they would both live.
