Snow was blowing in through the door, and it was easy to see it was still light outside. He pushed himself up so he was kneeling on the floor and looked at his watch. He’d been unconscious a little less than an hour. As he looked around the garage, it became painfully clear he was alone. He managed to get to his feet with another inadvertent moan, and his joints throbbed and protested his actions. Linden stumbled to the door, leaned in the doorway, and stared outside. The parking lot was empty, and in every direction he looked, he saw nothing but snow, trees, and apparently empty buildings. “Tyler!
