Hello and happy Pi Day! My excerpt comes from Shifting Chaos (book 4 of The Sleepless City). This serie was written with Anne Barwell and is paranormal romance/urban fantasy with the serious twists. Blair leaned over and pushed the passenger door open. “Hey. I still have some more to packing to do. You got here faster than I thought and…” Forge climbed into the truck, slid across the seat, wound one arm around Blair’s waist and pulled him close. Blair hooked an arm around Forge’s neck and scooted even closer, opening his mouth to Forge’s tongue. Heat and desperation surged away from Blair and rolled over Forge like a tsunami. Blair broke their kiss and leaned his forehead against Forge’s. “I missed you so much. I didn’t know…I didn’t mean to…” A symphony of horns blaring behind them made Blair jump and Forge snickered. “You’d better drive.” “Yeah, right, drive.” Blair moved back behind the wheel, put the truck in gear and pulled away. “I still have some details to wrap up too. You got here fast. I didn’t expect you for another day at least.” “As soon as I hung up, I got online and found a flight. I was afraid you’d change your mind. You know, I would’ve come with you and helped.” “I know.” “We all would’ve helped,” Forge said softly. Blair sighed. “I know. But what I didn’t need was five other opinions on what to do and what to keep, and well...you understand?” “I wasn’t sure you were coming back,” Forge confessed. Blair glanced at him. He didn’t have to answer. Forge felt Blair’s guilt. Blair hadn’t been sure either. Shifting Chaos is available on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited.
